Racial History Tour of Calvary Cemetery 1:00 pm Sunday, October 19 As we approach All Souls Day and Black Catholic History Month, learn about the racial history of Catholic St. Louis by joining us for a tour of Calvary Cemetery. Guided by our friend Dr. Kelly Schmidt (possibly with assistance from Jada Bell and Jeff Harrison), we will visit the burial sites of people whose lives and experiences are significant in shaping the racial history of our church, city, and civil society. The tour will involve standing and some walking over the cemetery’s grassy slopes. Access to restrooms is limited to the Mausoleum (near the cemetery entrance), which we will only be near at the start and end of the tour. Please use the restroom in advance and prepare accordingly.
