Clarification of Thought: The Economy of Francis

How do we create  "an alternative system that will overcome and eradicate the worldwide idolatry of money that structures the global economy and our lives"? The Economy of Francis begins laying the groundwork of how that might look based on what the authors "consider in tune with the radical nature of (Pope Francis's) teachings and the revolutionary nature of Christian faith." July updates and invites!

Hi Friends! It's hot out there! You can help us help our friends on the street by donating bottled water, freezer pops, and single sized electrolyte or other drink mixes (such as propel or crystal light). Last summer we had a couple church/community groups run collections and we'd so love to see that again! Drop them by our house at 8617 Mora Ln. or drop us a line at   StLouisCatholicWorker@gmail.com   for pickups of bigger donations. Maybe you can help us keep our house cool too! Our dream is that a couple of friends out there might have an Instant Pot that they don't often use and would be willing to share, either as a gift or as a long term loan. The bigger the better! Email us at   StLouisCatholicWorker@gmail.com   if you can to help. We also ho...

May 25th Potluck at Tower Grove Park!

The last Sunday of the month usually means StL CW potluck! May is one of the nice times of year to be outdoors in Missouri so we thought we’d gather at Tower Grove Park for this month’s shared meal.  Chrissy is providing the soccer ball! But you can bring a lawn chair or blanket along with your normal dish to share. (Or just come as you are!) We aren’t officially renting a pavilion or picnic site. Instead we're just going to grab a spot and set up some tables somewhere near the Kingshighway entrance to the park. We'll be somewhere west of the New Comfort Station ( here on Google Maps ). You should see us with a couple tables and chairs set up; we'll probably be somewhere in this orange square   Right now the weather can’t fully decide if we’ll be dry Sunday or not. No worries though! Our friend Olivia has offered her nearby apartment in the event of rain! If you think we might not be at the park because of the weather or if you just can’t locate us in the park, text or call...
